UNiFi – A Community Portal Solution

Most organizations have a corporate website, which would contain information that targets multiple audiences – investors, customers, general public, jobseekers, etc. The content may not change frequently, could remain static and would largely be the company’s voice.
Need for a Community Portal
A community portal solution would contribute significantly towards bringing employees, customers, dealers, franchisees, agents, vendors or other stakeholders, closer to the company. The portal would need to provide news and information that is relevant and is of interest to the community, apart from providing interactive content that engages the community. The company may also use this platform to keep in touch with the community, share achievements and initiatives, and provide updates and announcements.

A platform for the members to learn and contribute on various topics of interest, relevant to the community and its members. The forums would be interactive and beneficial to the participants and the entire community.

Wisdom of the Crowd (Ask the Community)
An informal platform for the members of the community, to gain from the collective knowledge of the members. Members may post any query on which they seek advice or opinions. For example: “Should I stock more this Christmas?”, “Where can I take my sales team for an off-site meeting?”. Many members of the community would be willing to contribute their wisdom, and would be recognized among the ‘Top contributors’.

Get to know the upcoming activities in the campus and important information for the community members, with or without commercial interest. For example: “The Governing Council meeting is scheduled for Feb 17 at 11:00 am in the Corporate HQ. Office bearers to take note and confirm your attendance to the President”.

No event/achievement is too small and members would be encouraged to upload photos and videos of all their special occasions. The company may also upload photos/videos that would be of interest to the community.
