E-Learning Solutions

NetLink has been involved in the development of learning solutions for over 15 years. Starting with developing Computer Based Training products (CBTs) on technology based subjects in the early 1990s, NetLink quickly moved to web-based training and comprehensive E-Learning development as the Internet grew in popularity.
NetLink provides E-Learning solutions in various domains including Technology, Manufacturing, Sales Training, Cross Cultural Training, Communication Skills, etc.
Our range of skills includes subject matter understanding, visualization, storyboarding, development of e-learning modules, integration with Moodle Learning Management System (LMS), integration with corporate intranets and portals.
Development of E-Learning Modules
The E-Learning Modules are developed in the following phases:
Content Understanding/Expert Interviews
In this phase, we will meet the experts in the organization to completely understand the subject matter. Existing training material will be thoroughly internalised by us during this phase.
Visualization & Storyboarding
In this phase, the entire project is visualised and each module will be created as a storyboard. The storyboard will have a rough sketch of the screen with the list of associated multimedia elements. Each sequence will be planned as a still images, graphics, text, audio, video, animation, etc, and this will be mentioned in the storyboard. The storyboard will be in line with the learning methodology identified for the project.
Designing the Program Engine
In this phase, the required multimedia master program would be designed to include all the functionality expected from the modules. All the programming to incorporate multimedia elements, flow control, interactivity, navigation, etc. will be completed. The modules developed would be SCORM compliant.
Designing Multimedia Elements
Multimedia elements that have to be developed will be scheduled and prioritized. They will include graphic elements, scanned images, video sequences, animation sequences, audio elements, text screens, etc.
Audio/Video Scripting
The script for each screen that is visualized in the storyboard is made ready in this phase.
Sequencing the Presentation
The various elements are assembled together and sequenced in the program engine, and edited for proper flow, time duration and elegance.
Audio Recording/Video Shooting
The audio is recorded based on the approved audio script. Video footage is shot based on the storyboard requirements. Recording would be done at a Studio, using professionals.
Incorporating Audio/Video Assets
Audio/video assets are incorporated into the program and whole presentation is synchronised.
Testing
The module is hosted on a server and fully tested for running on various PC and browser platforms, working of the selection buttons, navigation, positioning, synchronisation and other performance features.
Integration with Moodle LMS
The modules are integrated with a Moodle LMS through the SCORM interfaces.
Functionalities in E-Learning Modules
E-Learning Modules would provide the following key functionalities:
Interactivity
The users of the E-Learning Module are placed in ‘control’. They would be allowed to continuously interact with the program through making selections from ‘on-screen options’, responding to ‘screen prompts’, answering questions, etc. Interactivity ensures continuous user participation in the learning process and makes the process interesting and active.
Navigation
Navigation features allow a user to move within the contents of an E-Learning Module in different ways. Different users require varying amounts of time to assimilate the information on screen or to move to specific interest areas. Navigation links would allow them to move forward/review at their own pace and convenience.
Simulation
SSimulation features would reproduce actual user experiences, processes, etc, which users would encounter in their real-life environment. Depending upon the subject matter that is covered, actual experiences and processes can be reproduced using videos and the user would be made to interact with them on the screen.
Testing Understanding
Self-administered quizzes on the screen would form part of the E-Learning Modules. These quizzes can be made interactive and can use multiple-choice questions, keystroke responses, drag and drop exercises, etc. The quizzes can also be individualized and based on past performance, providing ‘levels of difficulty’. The scores of any participant in a quiz would be directed to a database in the LMS and can be reviewed at will.
Functionalities of the Learning Management System
The Learning Management System (LMS) would provide for the following:
User Registration
Course Definition
User-Course Association
Course Calendar Management
Content Delivery
Progress Tracking
Assessment
Certification
Learner Competency Tracking and Course Recommendations
Multi Language Support
SCORM Compliance
Usage Reports
