Drupal Competency Center

Drupal (www.drupal.org) is the most popular open-source Content Management System (CMS) providing a robust platform for developing web applications. Due to its strong content management and community capabilities, it is an ideal platform for development of Web 2.0 applications.

NetLink has adopted Drupal as the development framework to build some of our large websites and web applications. Today, we have “Drupal Competency Center (DCC)”, a dedicated team working to continuously provide all the technical support and training required for our Drupal projects. The core activities of DCC are as follows:

Research and Development

This involves constantly exploring the platform to comprehend the way it works. The R&D team at DCC is responsible for discerning new technological developments in the area of online content publishing.

The team evaluates critical Drupal updates and patches, and applies them to the production systems. Another important role of R&D is to benchmark Drupal for project adaptability.

Training

The development team is constantly trained on new technologies and best practices in development. The R&D team translates the learning experiences into training content and imparts training to the development team with the help of the training staff. The training sessions are very intensive with effective practice sessions and one to one reviews.

Architecture and Design

One of the important phases in the development life cycle is Architecture and Design. DCC is responsible for review and approval of Architecture and Design of all the projects executed on the Drupal platform. DCC makes necessary recommendations for the use of third-party modules in the project after thorough evaluation.

Search Engine Optimization

Search Engine Optimization (SEO) is the primary aspect of all our Drupal-based projects. It is the USP of our website development services and crucial responsibility of DCC.

SEO is an on going activity. It starts with content analysis and goes beyond implementation and roll out.
