  1. How is sites2.0 different from the web development services other companies offer?

    2. Most of the companies provide low-cost web development service by using pre-designed templates. Some of them provide custom-designed websites at a much higher cost. However, they do not address the most 3 critical aspects of a web site:

    1. How to you get people visit your website?
    2. How to engage them in the website?
    3. How to make them return to your website?

    While sites2.0 creates stunning designs for your website, its focus is on these three aspects.


  2. Why don’t you provide “setup yourself” service to quickly create my own website at very low cost?

    3. Please refer to Question #1. Our focus is on the 3 fundamental aspects of a website. None of them can be covered by using a “templated” website.


  3. How do you ensure the 3 fundamental aspects you are talking about are addressed?

    4. We are basically an Internet company with expertise in developing large newspaper, community and e-commerce portals. For those portals, the 3 fundamental aspects are the key to success. It is the same expertise we bring in while designing your website.


  4. But, can you tell me specifically how you address them?

    5. Well, they are addressed by a combination of things. Including graphics design, Content architecture, URL formation, Content tagging etc. There is a separate phase in our development process for Content Architecture. Content Architecture is very important for your site to rank in web searches.

  5. I’ve registered my site in Google and Yahoo. Is it not sufficient?

    6. Search Engine Optimization (SEO) is the key to search-enabling your website. It is an activity beyond just registering your website in Google and Yahoo! The content architecture must support SEO. The SEO activity is an ongoing process and needs every content update to be looked at differently.

  1. Can you explain your development process?

    2. We employ a customer-centric development process to ensure that the focus is always on producing what you want. Please see our presentation on development process for details.


  2. Website design requires close interaction with your team but you are sitting in a remote location. Will it work?

    3. We understand the issues involved in working remotely. That’s why we have designed a web-based Project Dashboard for design review and feedback. This is an easy-to-use system that allows multiple stakeholders to review and comment on website designs.


  3. Will the Project Dashboard also provide information on project progress?

    4. Certainly! In fact the Project Dashboard is designed to eliminate all the issues associated with working remotely. It provides a platform to collaborate as well as monitor project progress.


  4. Sounds good! How do you ensure privacy?

    5. Each one of our customers is given a Login ID and a password (multiple IDs on request.) Customers can only view information on their own projects.


Content Management System

  1. What is a Content Management System?

    2. A Content Management System (CMS) is a software application that helps to create, manage and publish content. It provides a number of functions that help collaborated content creation and publishing.


  2. My current website is designed in HTML. Why do I need a CMS?

    3. Well, a CMS also produces HTML as it is the only format that can be displayed in a web browser. In simple terms a CMS allows you to organize your content in a structured manner and allows you to update and manage your website without knowledge of HTML or programming.


  3. Which CMS do you use?

    4. We use Drupal (www.drupal.org), the most popular open-source CMS.


  4. I have visited Drupal website and have found that most of the features that you provide are already available in Drupal!

    5. You are absolutely right and that’s why we are able to provide all those feature at low prices! A CMS cannot be used as it is. It needs to be configured (to reflect the content architecture) and customized (to provide specific functionalities). Customization involves code modification and new code development. And that is what you will be charged for.


Content Management Service

  1. What is Content Management Service?

    2. Our Content Management Service is aimed at relieving you from all the hassles associated with editing and publishing content on a regular basis.


  2. Since you use a CMS, why can’t I update content myself?

    3. You certainly can! While it is easy to edit and publish text content, editing image, audio and video content require knowledge of the respective editing tools. These “multimedia” content need to be optimized for use in the internet.


  3. How do I send you my image, audio and video files?

    4. This can be done over the Internet. We’ll provide you with an easy-to-use mechanism. Very big files can be sent to our address by mail.


  4. How long will you take to update the content in the website?

    5. Normally, the content will be updated in the site the very next day. If the content is large in size then it might take longer.
